Earlier the problem with unauthorised travel is only in SL but now it will be 3AC which will be overcrowded in gangway and also near toilets. The cleanliness of washroom will be hayware just like general compartments. The middle or upper middle class who are travelling in 3Ac for many years have to opt for 2AC now. Atleast in rake standardisation they are 4 2AC.
It was always on cards SL became Gen now 3A will become Gen this will be situation in long distance trains
Bro oka express train example Hampi exp Running from Hubli to Mys but i am taking avg from Ballari to Banglore Fare the revenue for one trip is sleeper12 plus 3Ac 3 plus 2Ac cun 1Ac 1 plus Gs 3 coaches (80X12X250=240000)+(3X72X650=140000)+(28×850=23300)+(10X1250=12500)+(3X100X150= 45000)=460800.00Rs per trip if this train runs for 22 days it will recover the cost coach itself then how come passnger trains are running in loss as this trains always Full from end to end but i am considering between Ballari and Banglore only.... Expenditures u can calculate dnt bring infrastructure in this like station buildings railway headquarters and all if take all trains revenue thats just a fraction no matter of loss at all here....
What is the cost if the each LHB coach and rake cost for 20 coaches and cost of Loco.
According to Wikipedia, an LHB coach costs between 1.5 to 2 crore and 3 crores for the EOG, and the cost of production of one WAP 7 loco is around 12-13 crores. So, you can calculate the cost of one rake on this basis.
