Brief on DRUCC Meeting, SBP Division -
(Held on 20th July 2022)

1. As there is no direct connection to Delhi from Balangir and Bargarh and people are consistently demanding to run a train, proposal to run VSKP-ASR Hirakud Express Daily has been sent to RB by ECoR. (New 4 days via VZM-TIG-SBP)

2. Proposal to run Kalinga Utkal Exp via DKL-ANGL-SBP has been dropped by RB citing the existing route is historic with much demanded and if it gets diverted connection to Delhi from TATA, RKL region will be lost.

3. Extension of Prasanthi Exp to SBP may be considered after completion of doubling between SBP & TLHR.

4. Resumption of SBP-BAND weekly Exp. and Raigarh Gondwana Exp. up to SBP are under consideration by RB. SBP-BAND Exp has been included in IRTTC 2022-2023 of ECoR.

5. Proposal to run a new train to Guwahati from SBP has been sent to RB, Waiting for approval.

6. SBP (NSG 3 Category) station has been included in the new Redevelopment Programme and will be developed as per requirements in near future.

17015/16 Visakha Exp is going to be LHBfied very shortly.
It can be speeded up because the Doubling and Electrification work between NDD, BVRT GDV and
BZA is almost finished.

the LHB rakes are to be utilised properly, Visakha Exp should be extended up to SBP soon after its LHBfication.
To compensate the loss of berths one SF train between PSA and Charlapalli should be started soon after the extension of Visakh Exp to SBP.

Stops of Visakha Exp at PDU,KBM, TIU, can be abolished.
