While Janta had a mixed composition, it didn't cater much to the corporates because of infeasible timings. While both 12267 and 22923 don't have ideal timings for corporates heading to Jamnagar, a lot of Rajkot-based and bound businessmen benefit immensely. Rajkot doesn't have LHB pitlines, a prerequisite. That's the main reason for sending these trains to Jamnagar. Just see the patronage of SL class in 22923. Also, 12268's late departure doesn't prevent corporates from travelling betwixt ADI and MMCT. They still do. The 6 am arrival at MMCT was infeasible for a lot of people. The current time is perfect. I do want catering services in 67 surely.

First time I've ever heard of Corporates preferring 8 AM arrival over 6 AM Arrival.
I'm in Corporate Legal of a Multi National Bank, I know a lot of Corporate Heads myself- which corporate according to you doesn't prefer a 6 AM arrival ? Are you sure they're really traveling in this train spending 12 hours instead of simply taking a flight ? I have Gujarat under me, never met a Corporate doing this- but nevermind you're a local here so you must aware of others.

are traveling in this, which Corporate in their right mind hasn't demanded a halt at Surat for this train ? If all the change in slots and timings is accomplished according to their wishes then halt at Surat should also be provided.
Back to the topic in hand, the current Coach Composition of Duronto is 15 Coaches- there's scope for Sleeper Coaches just like LTT Ernakulam Duronto. It already has multitude of AC 3 Tier, AC 3 Economy, AC 2 Tier coaches and AC First. Even after Adding 6 Sleeper Coaches there will be scope for adding an AC Coach if needed.
But I honestly say, I still have my doubts on this extension. It was wanted by many but was it needed is an altogether different matter entirely- but yeah still better than getting extended to Jodhpur, Udaipur, Hisar, Bikaner and whatnot. ЁЯШВ

My dad often has to travel to Mumbai/ Pune for client meetings. When flights are infeasible, our company prefers either Humsafar or Duronto. Humsafar arrives a tad too late while the 8 am arrival at MMCT still allows sufficient buffer time before the meetings. There is no morning flight from Rajkot to Mumbai as of now. Air India's flight used to land around 7:30 at CSMIA. Even if the corporates just carry a handbag, getting out of the airport would take some time. Corporates even prefer travelling in 67 from ADI to RJT.

do agree with the ST halt. Guess the early morning arrivals don't help its cause. And yes, a few 3AC and 2AC coaches can be replaced with SL.

Bahaha Jamnagar benefits from having two of the largest oil refineries in the world, Essar and Reliance. :P :P :P Tourist off-seasons in Jodhpur and Bikaner witness lesser patronage whereas corporate travel to Jamnagar/Rajkot is on 365 days. :P :P :P
