This is an excellent train to explore this entire route in Day Time.

issue is the timings, it's heavily slacked. There's not much traffic when this train runs (except maybe New Delhi Railway Station).
It runs 40 minutes to 1 hour 20 minutes before time, gets heavily regulated at Zonal Change Locations.
Coaches are old, they are the original rake (when the train was introduced). Probably the only LHB Duronto Train with Uniform Duronto Coaches. Hence they are not upgraded, you hear heavy Creaking Sound when this train runs at MPS.
Probably the best thing would be to speed it up by 1.5 hours. Make it arrive at New Delhi by 2:30 PM at least and extend it to Chandigarh- no need to add any rake in this extension.
Upgrade the Coaches, at least give it the old rake of WR Mumbai Rajdhani.
Let it be Premium Train so that tickets are available for last minute travelers, there are significant amount of people who don't mind paying a premium as long as tickets are available and YES it DOES have incredible amount of last minute travelers- even I got surprised.
It had saved Diwali for many people including myself.
Much more better option for Punekars then probably their own Duronto 😂
