My Dear, you mean to say that the broad gauge conversion will hurt the flora and fauna of the Melghat Tiger Reserve. My humble question is from all who are the environment activist that when this conversion was brought on the paper then the high profile politicians and activist were in sleep mode? Or they wait for the right time to oppose it? All intelligent people, I have a idea to sorting out the problem. Will the broad-gauge lying on the same melghat region with extra construction of underpass, overpass and protecting net along the rail path? Why I am pointing out this because IR and environment ministry did it in several places where dense forest and tiger reserve are. For example: The broadgauge conversion of Jabalpur Gondia section which coming in the Nainpur forest buffer core of Kanha National Park (In between Lamta to Samnapur) and from my best knowledge...
more... the number of tigers habitat are much more than Melghat tiger reserve. I am from Jabalpur and I love forest and Tigers (my region is attached with three national park). Without harming the flora and fauna if, rail path will be constructed then why you people worried and concern with the other route.
