I've said again and again. I have no problem in adding Sanskrit. If the government feels that such a measure is good for the language, by all means they can do it. But it should not affect the utility of the board. My problem was with the removal of Urdu. Not the addition of Sanskrit.
I am not contesting any of the facts about Sanskrit or about the official language status of Sanskrit. All I am saying is that the primary duty of a station board is to be useful for passengers....

It is illogical to remove a name written in a language spoken by more people and replace it with a language that is phonetically dead. We use Sanskrit for religious purposes and may be in some niche areas, not for greeting people on the street or our day-to-day lives.
