Dear Sirs/Madams.
Can we have a section to discuss railways timetable and policies after lock down is lifted? As is timetable was supposed to be updated from 1st July. Chances of trains beginning runs per timetable from 1st July are remote. Following things and more could be discussed there:
Some specials may begin running with 2T SL class. Could average speeds be increased? Could a revision of fares be brought in?
Should...
more... railways start a brand new timetable allowing bunching of premier and SF trains followed by slower ones? Should some trains be scrapped altogether while some new trains (shadow trains as previously discussed) introduced? Should new timetable allow for maintenance blocks? Should slip coach(es) concept be scrapped?
Should passenger trains including EMU/DEMU/MEMU be the last of the lot to start?
With mobile phones becoming inseparable, should UTS/PRS counters be permanently closed?
We may get to discuss these things for at least 2 months. It will also allow creative minds to think of imaginary trains from scratch.
