VandeBharatFan~ 98 blog postsWhen Charminar Express was introduced? Why it was started already having Chennai Hyderabad Express.
There is demand and requirement so it was introduced and there is requirement for one more superfast train.
Charminar is almost 30 yrs old we can say(I'm not sure about this). People pay PT fares for confirmed tickets in both Chennai and Charminar exp, so I would say, both trains are required to cater growing demands.
59/60 was actually started as a special between Madras and Hyderabad
