In West Bengal i observed lots of Railway projects are on Hold for years, no work in progress. Do anyone know the present status of any of the below projects:
1. Nandigram-despran new line
2. Bagnan-Amta new line
3. Bankura-Mukutmonipur new line

On that line, only Damodar river bridge construction is in progress
No work on remaining part as land not acquired by state authorities

But last 2 yrs back in one newspaper SER Officials had said that SER had 90% land in their hands on BOWAICHANDI-KHANA new line project and as per i know that last year November 2018 TANTIA CONSTRUCTION was given contract for that project but after that no news on its progress. Is work going on?
If more than 90% is acquired then work must have started. Is land handed over to railway authorities or still stuck in disputes

These hold projects are mostly in the regions of Midnapur ( east ), bankura, Purulia, hooghly, burdwan, Howrah districts. There are many Railfans in these regions and also many Railway Official are in this forum. If we can find out the present status of these projects and when can be completed or if some of these projects are Permanently stopped by Railways, we can list them and atleast those projects which are still alive, . We can Tweet about this to RM, then i think if these projects gets completed then there will be huge development in West Bengal state.
