Zone aur division ka bhi effect rehta hai.......
ER s a pgr carrying railway mainly...less freight traffic compared to SER which is mainly Freight carrying rail....so ER koi bhi train chalane k liye hamesha 100% ready rehta hai chahe woh Madhupur humsafar ho, deogarh-agartala exp ho, etc....aise small stn ( small compared to asn, hwh, sdah) se bhi new trains exp/sf chalane k liye ready rehte hai hamesha.
On the otherhand BKSC once had pitlines but due to negligency od ADRA Div and SER not willing to run exp/ sf trains from bksc,...
more... the pitlines got damaged...had it be ER then bksc could have easily got new train originating from bksc.....similarly if PRR was in ER then PRR would have got
many long dist trains by now......similarly for Digha, Haldia both stns if under ER would have got many exp, emu, pgr trains till now .... but badluck they r under SER. SER do not want to run pgr trains at new routes at all. tilll date SER could not run a MEMU from ADRA to DIGHA...Digha being a tourist spot has very good potential...everyday around 100 buses ply between Midnapur and Kharagpur to Digha..but no direct connectivity between digha and midnapur except 1 weekly train between asn-digha exp...other days nothing.
