Mumbai(LTT)to Guwahati railway connection.
there are only three trains between mumnbai and guwahati.
out of three only 15645/46 runs twice a week ,and rest two once a week.
15645/46 take minimum time(52hr) to reach guwahati from mumbai and vice versa with distance 2594km.
there...
more... are two different route on which these three trains runs.
1>via mughal sarai,patna,barauni,katihar jn(15645/46.) 2594km.
2.>via Mughalsarai,Patna,jamalpur,Barharwa,Malda town, approx 2733km.(5647/48)
3>via Nagpur,Bilaspur,Tata,Rourkella,Bardhaman. approx 2900km.(15611/12).
but there is only one trains bewteen important city like(Nagpur,Durg,Raigarh,Raipur,Rourkella,Tatanagar ) to north east India(guwahati, njp etc).
that is karabhoomi express which doesnt have sleeper class, runs once a week inspite knowing how important route it is.
realsing current connection between Guwahati (northeast india ) to Mumbai,in this Railbudget a superclass daily or triweekly superfast express is needed from Mumbai Ltt to guwahati.using the follwoing route.
LTT to Tatanagar is 1700km ,takes approx 27 hr(gitanjali express, ganesawri exp etc).
Now Tatanagar to Guwahati via asansole ,Rampurhat ,Malda town is 1111km.A superfast trains like NJP-Chennai,or Saraighat exp(ghy to rph) will take maximum 22 hr(55km/hr. 12345 runs ghy to rph arround 58km.hr).
Then if a superfast trains takes this nice route ,then it will defenetly reach guwahati with 49hr with standard stoppage time, with distance 2811km.
For a duranto exprss it can be 46 hr too.
becuase Mumbai-Tatanagar route is very speedy, all trains generally runs on time.
Indian Railways should think about this kind of daily trains via this route.tatanagar-asansole,malda,njp.
