WAP1 #22004 is in charge of the Howrah Rajdhani [from a CLW calendar]. Doesn't the train look majestic with a red-cream uniform rake and matched loco? The early batch of WAP1s had the dip in front instead of the lightning zigzag lines. Imagine how I would have felt when I saw this beauty pull into Mughalsarai on a cold night in December 1986. In my utter excitement, I dropped the tickets and it almost fell onto the tracks. Fortunately, I was able to board it and enjoy the ride till New Delhi. Three years later it graced me with its presence - it overtook my Himgiri in full mood somewhere near Saktigarh.
