And I guess the Talgo coaches' appearance is also a bit deceptive. There is a lot of press coverage about their high speed capability, sleek appearance and 'low' capacity, all of which is creating a wrong impression of them being 'fragile' and not suitable for Indian conditions. The technical aspects of their design, how they differ from our existing rolling stock, and how the technology behind them can help us start designing our own high speed trains, are not really covered in in the press and consequently, they are being severely underestimated.
