Some Durontos have noc ac bogies like Madras Duronto, does that have impact on overall fare of that train, making it cheaper than chennai Rajdhani

That of course will be cheaper than Rajdhani. But you should not compare Sleeper fare of Duronto with Rajdhani as Rajdhani has no Sleeper Class.

True, i m not comparing fare of sleeper class of duronto with Rajdhani , as i m aware rajdhanis dont have sleeper bogies. I intend to say over all fare for the train. If u check from the official Railway website both Chennai Rajdhani and Mas duronto have been classified as "Rajdhani Type" for fare purposes. If the distance is same and timings are also same then what is the reason for fare difference. May be it has sleeper bogies which has an impact on Ac fare or on overall composition of train.

The fares of Duronto are at a lower side on the policy of ‘Go Popular to Sell Higher’ though the facilities are at par with Rajdhani.
One comparison has already been given. Have one more:
12953 A K Rajdhani goes from BCT via SWM to NZM (SWM 1027 Kms.)
12239 Duronto goes from BCT via SWM to JP (JP 1159 Kms.)

Hence cost of food in 12239 is higher and the run is also higher by 132 Kms. (SWM – JP stretch)
Now see the fares: Train > distance * 1st AC ** 2nd AC *** 3rd AC
12953 > 1027 * 2780 ** 1665 *** 1255
12239 > 1159 * 2860 ** 1645 *** 1185
You will appreciate that in 2nd and 3rd AC fares of Duronto are lesser than Rajdhani even when the distance is more and food provisions are not less. In 1st AC, though the comparative figures seems higher but the difference is only Rs. 80 while difference in fares of the same 2 slots of a Simply Superfast 12955 is Rs. 131.
