The long-pending FAQ tab has now been implemented. It has been initialized with a set of questions sent by our Admin Kishor, as gleaned and searched from prior Blog Entries. (Thanks a lot, Kishor).
The FAQ section in this site is based on a brand new original concept, being tried out here in this site. Conventional wisdom is that questions are added to the FAQ, and then people write out answers. This is often a tedious and laborious exercise. In places like Wikipedia there is only one answer paragraph/page which is repetitively edited.
In

this site, the FAQ works in an "opposite manner". In our Blog Forum, discussions are already happening on various topics, sometimes in answer to questions, and sometimes more in a free-wheeling manner not particularly as responses to questions. So, the answers are already available!! But we don't know the questions?
Each Blog Post Entry, each Blog Post Reply is considered as a potential answer unit which can be associated with an appropriate FAQ question. Admins will see a new link "Add to FAQ" against each Blog Post reply or entry. If applicable, just click on it and associate that reply with the appropriate question. If the question does not already exist, please go ahead and create a new question.
All answers first appear in the Blog Forum, and only after that can they be associated to a question. However, please only add those Blog Posts relevant to the question. Do not add "conversational" posts that do not directly answer the question. Numerous Blog Posts can be associated with each FAQ question, each providing a different perspective. Even news articles can be associated with FAQ questions. Also, the same Blog Post can be associated with many related FAQ questions.
FAQ Categories: FAQ Categories are being compiled. Suggestions on new categories welcome.
As an example, this particular Blog Entry itself describes what the FAQ section is and how it works. So, this entry first appears in the Blog Forum as an announcement. After that, this Entry will be added to FAQ, and associated to a new FAQ question. (What is FAQ? How does it work?).
As with other features, this feature will rapidly evolve in the coming weeks. Coming soon: Associating News Entries with FAQ.
In the beginning, this new method may seem non-intuitive. Please bear with us, and you may soon get familiar with how this works.
Feedback, questions and suggestions welcome.

Just to bring to your kind notice and also as a feedback on the new system:-

Feedback - We should have check on entries already added to FAQ to avoid double efforts of ADMINS. Either after adding to FAQ, Add to FAQ should not be there or give error message that Entry already added. Tried to Add to FAQ Entry# 211923 which is already added but not given any error message and again added.

Sir,
Thanks for this feature. As you have yourself said - Long Awaited it was.
My observations are:
1. Categories may have Sub-Categories (To be broadly defined / redefined).
2.

Linking the discussions is all OK but there should be a summary on the top on major subjects which describes the concept to the point. Yet, the bloggers will go through the links if they wish for.
Thanks a lot again for adding further star to the Site.

Thanks for the suggestions. Will be implemented soon.
In the continuing evolution of the FAQ section, News Entries from the News Forum can now be included in FAQ. Each News Entry now has a link to the right - Add to FAQ - just like with regular Blog Entries. This will help in answering questions with illustrative examples as cited from newspaper articles and other sources.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
