A Hearty Congratulations to Mormugao Port Trust for achieving this tremendous growth in traffic

After the ban on mining the Port was affected very badly but thanks to the new directions by the management in diversifying the Port from single commodity one ie. Iron Ore to multi commodity one, and the efforts put up by the workforce.
Also a major contributor

to their success is South Western Railways Hubli division who operate these long 58 Wagon long BOXN rakes in tough conditions of Braganza Ghats.
A few words about MPT. MPT is first of all one of the four biggest employers in the city of Vasco Da Gama, the other three being the Indian Navy, Indian Railways, The Goa Shipyard Ltd. No matter how much controversy is created by the politicians in Goa the MPT is responsible for changing the lives of many Goans from worst to best. Heard from my parents and grandparents stories of people who had difficulties affording a meal two times in a day before getting a job at MPT and now the same people have their own good houses, cars, etc. all thanks to MPT.
Last thing I want to speak is on Hospet to Vasco track doubling work which is in progress between Hospet to Londa. Some politicians have opposed it in Goa citing its as MPT scam but considering the growth MPT has achieved now I really feel that a double track till Vasco Da Gama would give them a big boost in traffic which would benefit the economy of Goa along with the residents of Vasco and the Hubli division of South Western Railways too also this would definitely boost tourism also as new trains would be introduced too due to the doubled section.
So once again I congratulate Mormugao Port Trust and wish them good luck in future and hoping for the completion of the Hospet Vasco track doubling at the earliest without any problems.
Thank You.

Agree, this is the reason SWR pushing doubling as fast as it can, especially in ghats. Hope this doubling will complete soon and 25-75 % of passenger and freight traffic will speed up in ghats.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
