Morning Observations at Pune : Wednesday : 27-Feb-2008 : 07:20 to 07:30 hrs
1) A goods train hauled by twin Kazipet WDG3A locos moved from Ghorpadi side towards Lonavala. The leading loco (towards Mumbai) was orange KZJ WDG3A # 14777 and trailing loco was orange KZJ WDG3A # 14781. Later, I found that this goods train was held up at Khadki, so as to allow Pragati Exp to ovetake this goods train!

Pit line between PF2/3 had orange GTL WDM2 # 18541.
3) Announcement was made 2150 Patna-Pune Exp is running late by 5 hrs and 2130 Howrah-Pune Azad Hind Exp is running late by 2 hrs.
4) 2629 Yashvantpur-Nizamuddin Karnataka Samparka Kranti Exp arrived on PF1 at 07:27 hrs with KJM WDM3A # 17930. 2629 YPR-NZM KSK Exp arrived 23 minutes before time! In the Miraj-Pune single line section, this train has various crossings like Sahyadri Exp, Mahalakshmi Exp, Maharashtra Exp, Jodhpur/Ajmer-Bangalore Exp, Pune-Satara Passenger and may be couple of goods trains as well! Despite all this, KSK is 25 min before time!
5) 1602 Manmad-Pune Passenger arrived on PF6 with green PUNE WDM2 # 17983. Soon, turquoise PUNE WDG3A # 13063 Shakti came from loco shed and got attached at the Daund end of rake of 1602 MMR-PUNE Passenger, as the same rake will now run as 1549 Pune-Solapur Passenger at 08:15 hrs, now headed by Pune Shakti Loco. No rake cleaning as usual!
6) Derated green PUNE WDM2S # 18496 parked the rake of 2126 Pune-Mumbai Pragati Exp on PF3. KYN WCAM3 was seen getting ready near electric trip shed, soon to haul Pragati Exp.
7) Electric trip shed had 3 BL WCAM1 loco (21839/21845/218xx) and 2 KYN WCG2 locos.
8) Today morning (28-Feb-2008), blue PUNE WDM2 # 17451 was ready to haul 1549 Pune-Solapur Passenger on PF6, at around 07:45 hrs!

Observations at Ghorpadi (GIT) Depot, near Pune Railway Station on Sunday, 28-Feb-2010 from 17:15 to 18:35 hrs!
1) 1621A Pune-Satara Passenger was hauled by orange PUNE WDG3A # 13549 Shakti Engine.

3) 1077 Pune-Jammutawi Jhelum Exp was hauled by orange PUNE WDG3A # 13556 Shakti Power.
4) Derated blue PUNE WDM2S # 17344 was busy with shunting work.
5) Yellow PUNE WDS6 # 36115 took the rake of 2129 Pune-Howrah Azad Hind Exp from washing lines to Pune.
6) Deep inside yard area, blue PUNE WDM3A # 18754R and UBL WDG4 # 12125 were seen. This WDG4 was in SHF
(Short Hood Forward) mode towards Daund or Miraj direction.
7) A goods train hauled by UBL WDG4 # 12107 came from Daund side. This WDG4 was also in SHF mode towards
Daund direction.
8) 2135 Pune-Nagpur SF Exp was hauled by blue PUNE WDM3A # 18621R.
9) Orange PUNE WDG3A # 14818 went from loco shed to Pune. Later, this loco hauled 2129 PUNE-HWH AzadHind Exp.
10) A goods train hauled by UBL WDG4 # 12049 came from Pune. This WDG4 was in SHF mode towards Daund or
Miraj direction.
11) 2170 Solapur-Pune Indrayani Exp came with orange KYN WDG3A # 13551 Shakti Loco.
12) 2157 Pune-Solapur Hutatma Exp was hauled by blue PUNE WDM3A # 18773R power.
13) Surprise of the day! 1041 Mumbai-Chennai Exp was hauled by UBL WDG4 # 12126 and dead orange
KZJ WDM3A # 18980R (just behind WDG4 power).
14) 1547 Pune-Baramati Shuttle was hauled by blue PUNE WDM3A # 17924R.
15) Skyblue/yellow GTL WDM3A # 18972R moved from loco shed to Pune. This loco may haul 6381 CSTM-CAPE Jayanti
