WCAM2P DC Unfit Loco ready with Pune-Mumbai Deccan Exp on PF4

Observations at PUNE on 02-Mar-2007 from 16:45 to 17:15 hrs
1) At ShivajiNagar (SVJR) station, Kalyan KYN WCAG1 # 21981 loco was waiting to go towards Pune on the mid lines between PF1/2 with front panto up. The train this WCAG1 hauling was BCLA/BCLB flat wagons goods rake with 'Concor' marked containers (of P&O Nedlloyd and Maersk).

As container freight was standing on through line, CSTM-HYB Exp moved towards Pune behind KYN WCG2 # 20107 loco slowly from PF2 without stopping at SVJR station.
3) Nagercoil-Mumbai Exp moved towards Mumbai behind KYN WCG2 # 20147 and one more dead KYN WCG2 (with panto down).
4) Electric trip shed at Pune had following locos: KYN WCAM3 # 21898 WCAM3 # 21955 KYN WCG2 # 20144 and BL WCAM1 # 21817. One more BL WCAM1 and KYN WCG2 were seen inside trip shed.
5) Pit line near PF2/3 had 3 diesel locos, viz., Orange KZJ WDM2A # 17774, Orange KZJ WDM2B # 16694 and blue GTL WDM3A # 18796R.
6) Another KZJ WDM2A # 17673 hauled CSTM-HYB Exp ahead of Pune.
7) Pune-Nagpur SF was ready to depart for Nagpur behind brown PUNE WDM2 # 18672R loco.
8) Pit line near PF6 had 2 diesel locos, viz., ED WDM2 # 18697 and blue GTL WDM3A # 18913R.
9) Jhelum Exp was ready to depart behind brown PUNE WDM3A # 18621R. This loco had markings of WDM2 on side walls and WDM3A on front/rear!
10) Pune-Satara Passenger departed behind green PUNE WDM2.

Evening Observations at Ghorpadi Yard (GIT) near Pune : Sunday : 02-Mar-2008 : 17:45 to 18:30 hrs
1) 1621A Pune-Satara Passenger speeded towards Sasvad with blue PUNE WDM3A # 18773R.
2) A goods train was waiting in GIT yard with twin Pune WDMx locos. The leading loco (towards Mumbai direction) was blue PUNE WDM3A...

# 17967R and trailing loco was blue PUNE WDM3A # 18578R.
3) Another goods train was waiting in GIT Yard, headed by KJM liveried twin MLY WDMx locos. I could not see exact loco road numbers for Moula Ali twins as the view was blocked by goods wagons (of goods train described in point 2 above).
4) Derated brown PUNE WDM2S # 17168 was taking rest in GIT yard.
5) Yellow PUNE WDS6 # 36041 (with text in Hindi "Bharatiya Rail" written on side wall) was seen shunting 2 dark red colored tool vans belonging to Sr. Section Engineer, CR.
6) 6506 Bangalore-Gandhidham Exp arrived from Miraj side with twin KJM WDG3A locos! The leading loco (towards Mumbai direction) was blue KJM WDG3A # 13261 and trailing loco was blue KJM WDG3A # 13054. The train arrived 30 minutes before time! Later, this twin KJM locos returned back to GIT, thereby confirming the usual fact that 6506 SBC-GIM Exp must have got BL WCAM1 loco from Pune onward.
7) 2157 Pune-Solapur Hutatma Exp speeded towards Daund with brown PUNE WDM3A # 18660R.
8) 1041 Mumbai-Chennai Exp was hauled by orange KZJ WDM3A # 18973R.
9) Green PUNE WDM2 # 17516 moved from loco shed to Pune Station Area. This will later haul Pune-Baramati Passenger.
10) 2129 Pune-Howrah Azad Hind Exp was hauled by blue PUNE WDM3A # 14093. Train was 21 coaches long, inclusive of 1 pantry car and 2 parcel vans.
11) And final surprise of the day! Deccan Odessy Special Train arrived from Miraj side behind blue PUNE WDM3A # 18651R! Fully air-conditioned Deccan Odyssey was 21 coach long!
