Observations at Pune : Saturday, 02-Feb-2008 : 15:15 to 16:00 hrs
1) Pit line near PF6 had Erode WDM2 # 18600.
2) Empty rake of 1610 Miraj-Pune Passenger (which later runs as 1621A Pune-Satara Passenger) was standing on PF6 as usual.

Empty rake of incoming 1078 Jammutawi-Pune Jhelum Exp was on PF1. Later, this was taken out (towards outer yard on Shivajinagar/Mumbai side of Pune Station) by derated green PUNE WDM2S # 18496.
4) Triweekly 9311 Pune-Indore Exp departed from PF3 with BL WCAM1 # 21808.
5) 1008 Pune-Mumbai Deccan Exp departed from PF4 with KYN WCAM3 # 21940.
6) Pit line between PF2/3 had blue/white KJM WDP4 # 20034. DLW plate indicated that 20034 is WDP4 # 024 made in Sep-2006. WDP4 was in long hood forward (LHF) mode towards Mumbai direction.
7) Derated green PUNE WDM2S # 18495 was seen shunting rake of 2149/2150 Pune-Patna-Pune Superfast Exp. This Patna Exp is now running 4 days a week.
8) Derated brown PUNE WDM2S # 17158 was seen shunting few coaches of 2129/2130 Azad Hind Express.
9) Electric trip shed had 3 BL WCAM1 locos (one was 21810), 2 KYN WCG2 locos and 2 KYN WCAM3 locos!
10) Lonavala-Pune local arrived on PF2 and later the same EMU departed as L20 Pune-Lonavala local at 15:40 hrs.
11) 1030 Kolhapur-Mumbai Koyana Exp arrived on PF5 with skyblue/yellow GY WDM3A # 14022 baldie (buldge face towards Mumbai) and got ready for onward journey towards Mumbai with KJM WDP4 # 20034.
12) 6530 Bangalore-Mumbai Udyan Exp arrived on PF3 with KJM WDP4 # 20037 and departed towards Mumbai with same WDP4 loco, as usual. WDP4 20037 was in long hood forward (LHF) mode towards Mumbai direction.
13) 6351 Mumbai-Tirupati-Nagercoil Exp arrived on PF4 with KYN WCAM3 # 21938 and got ready for onward journey towards Daund with ED WDM2 # 18600 loco.
14) 2781 Mysore-Nizamuddin SwarnaJayanti Exp arrived on PF2 with orange PUNE WDG3A # 14884 loco. This loco got detached. Soon, 2781 MYS-NZM Exp got ready for onward journey towards Daund with another Pune loco that came from loco shed. 2781 Swarna Jayanti got orange PUNE WDG3A # 14565 baldie (buldge face towards Daund)!
15) Announcement was made that 2780 NZM-VSG Goa Exp will come on PF3 instead of PF1!

1) Blue PUNE WDM3A # 18748R moved from Loco Shed to Pune Station. This will haul 2129 Pune-Howrah Azad Hind Exp.
2) Fresh painted yellow PUNE WDS6 # 36140 was taking reset in GIT yard.

Modified type blue/white PUNE WDM3D # 11182 was taking rest in GIT yard.
4) Yellow PUNE WDS6 # 36115 was seen shunting goods wagons.
5) A goods train was waiting in the yard with twin Kazipet locos. The leading loco (towards Mumbai) was orange KZJ WDG3A # 14622 and trailing loco was orange KZJ WDG3A # 14890. [Note: Today morning 04-Feb-2008 at around 07:50 hrs, I saw same KZJ twins bringing a goods train from Lonavala side towards Pune near Shivajinagar station!]
6) Derated brown PUNE WDM2S # 17168 was busy with some shunting work.
7) 2157 Pune-Solapur Hutatma Exp speeded towards Daund with blue/white ED WDM2 # 16850.
8) Green PUNE WDM2 # 17936 moved from loco shed to Pune. This will soon haul Pune-Baramati Passenger.
9) 1041 Mumbai-Chennai Exp was hauled by orange KZJ WDM3A # 18983R.
10) 1556 Solapur-Pune Passenger arrived with skyblue/yellow GY WDM3A # 18914R.
11) 6532 Yashvantpur-Ajmer Garib Navaz Express arrived from Miraj side with single orange KYN WDG3A # 14595. Usually, 6532 YPR-AII GNZ Exp runs diesel under wires on Pune-Kalyan-Vasai-Surat-Ahmedabad sector. So, most probably, this Kalyan WDG3A 14595 will continue to haul weekly GaribNavaz Exp ahead of Pune.
