#ObservationsAtPune *** 9 Years Ago Today at Pune! ***
Following are the observations at Pune Station on 15-Jan-2007 from 17:15 to 18:30 hrs.
1) On PF 6, rake of PUNE-SUR Hutatma Exp was standing. The second seating (Class 2S) coaches (SC1, SC2, etc) had notice (both in Hindi/English) from Solapur Division. The notice indicated that travellers with unreserved tickets should not travel in reserved 2S coaches without prior permission. If found travelling, they will be fined Rs. 250.

more... Lonawala bound LNL EMU departed from PF 4 at 17:40. Another EMU Local was standing at PF 5 (dep. 18:15 hrs).
3) On the pit line near PF 6 (Daund End of Pune Station), two locos were ready. One was Erode ED WDM2 # 17767 and other was Guntakal GTL WDM2A # 16390. ED WDM2 was soon attached to Solapur bound Hutatma Exp.
4) PUNE-JAT Jhelum Exp was ready to depart from PF 3 behind PUNE WDM3A # 16013R. The train had last bogie (after guard's van) in standard CR day train livery (blue/white coach similar to Sinhgad Exp). The coach seemed to be freshly painted. The bogie was locked. However, 7-8 passengers were still seen inside the coach.
5) Goa Exp departed behind PUNE WDG3A loco from PF 1.
6) Kurla shunter CLA WDS4D # 19725 was seen running alone on the line of PF 4.
7) CSTM bound InterCity Exp was soon brought on PF 2. Soon KYN WCAM3 # 21894 was attached to this train.
8) Towards Electric Trip Shed, OHE Wiring Van (Mumbai Div) CR # 81929 was standing. Also two Valsad locos, viz., BL WCAM1 # 21818 and BL WCAM1 # 21824 along with 2 Kalyan KYN WCG2 locos were standing.
9) Orange coloured PUNE WDG3A # 14816 hauled goods rake towards Mumbai on the main line.
10) On the pit line between PF 4 and 5 (towards trip shed side), 3 diesel locos were standing, viz., Kazipet KZJ WDM2A # 17281 and KZJ WDM2B # 16579 (both orange livery) and blue liveried Guntakal GTL WDM3A # 18794R
11) CSTM-MAS Exp arrived from Mumbai behind KYN WCG2 # 20149 loco on PF 4. The train had customary red RMS coach SR # 04881/A for Railway Mail Service. Pantry Car (PC) was also SR coach SR # 91803 (with AirBrake words "AB" removed/wiped). The train board indicated rake sharing between Exp and Mail trains and had photos of Gateway of India (Mumbai) and red coloured building (probabaly MAS central station outside view).
12) Kurla shunter CLA WDS4B # 19487 brought in the rake of PUNE-HWH Azad Hind Exp on PF 3. The SLR bogie (leading) was from South Eastern Railway (marked SE).
13) Twin KYN WCG2 locos WCG2 # 20145 + WCG2 # 20114 hauled container freight train towards Mumbai on main line.
14) On PF 6, KYN WCG2 # 20156 brought in Karjat-Pune Shuttle. Soon green livery PUNE WDM2 # 17987R was attached to this rake (which would depart as Pune-Baramati Passenger).
15) Shunters WDS4D # 19725 brought the rake of PUNE-CSTM Indrayani Exp on PF 2 and WDS4D # 19728 was seen shunting rake of Pune-Solapur Passenger. Soon, KYN WCG2 # 20151 was attached to Indrayani Exp.
16) Trip shed also contained KYN WCAM3 # 21938 and BL WCAM1 # 21825 and KYN WCG2 # 20127 locos.
17) Surprise of the day was 17 coach CSTM-PUNE Sinhgad Exp was brought in by KYN WCAM3 # 21959. The train had pantry car CR # 98802. The train arrived at 18:25 hrs, i.e. 15 min before scheduled time of 18:40 hrs. The train arr/dep at ShivajiNagar is 18:13/18:15 and arr time at PUNE is 18:40, i.e. 25 min for 2 Kms! Hence, the train arrived before time at Pune!
