Yesterday night I was travelling with my mom named Suman Garg from pathankot to Delhi by udhampur express 2nd tier A3 coach. She had her handbag by her side having nearly 60-70000, 2 mobile phones costing around 50000, adhar card, voter Id, atm card , home keys etc. Near about 1:30 am, train stopped at ambala junction and we found that that handbag is stolen by someone. Before that station, it was with us only. We asked TT named rajender to help. He said nobody got down at this station. I asked for railway police. He said there is no railway police in this train. We were shocked and had no means of instant help. We called at 100.what else we 2 ladies could do. We reached at Sarai rohila junction. Lodged zero FIR with police. Police asked why it is not lodged in train with TT. I was again shocked...
more... to listen that TT who should have taken action remained mum. He must be knowing about the thief or involved in theft. If not, still he is responsible for dereliction of duty.Delhi police told that we will forward zero FIR to ambala, action will be taken there only and process may take several days by that time, the thief can easily dispose of everything. If there could be search at that moment, it might have been recovered. Should there be any responsibility of railway or that TT who neither lodged complaint nor informed railway police. What remedy lies with us at such a huge loss or we are supposed to expect such kind of security from railway specially AC coaches. Still i expect enquiry or help from railway.
