A travel nightmare: poor safety
Yesterday night I was going with my mother from pathankot to Delhi by udhampur express 2 Tier A3 coach. We were awake till jalandhar station. Half an hour before reaching to ambala station, we slept. My mom had a yellow coloured hand bag with red strips on it that had nearly 60000 rs., 2 mobile phones of worth rs. 50000, many documents like adhar card, voter Id, pan card, atm card, keys etc. She has kept it by her side. When train stopped at ambala station, we noticed that bag is missing. We made a hue and cry. TT named was called for and told all the details. He said nobody got down at...
more... ambala station. We asked him to inform railway police, make some search but he said there is no railway police in this train and he said, he can't do anything. We complained at 100. On reaching Sarai rohila station, we wrote an application to lodge FIR. Police told that it must have been lodged with TT but TT remained mum even repeated request to take action over there.Police lodged Zero FIR for further action by ambala police. I am shocked what kind of security was in the train in absence of rail police. If it was thereally, why TT denied for it. Why TT didn't wrote FIR when he was supposed to do so? We have lost more than 1 lakh and owe the trouble to get all documents prepared. As per police the process will take its own time by then, the thief will enjoy the money, dispose off mobiles and . The thief could be traced if instant action would have been taken. As per police we won't get money and mobiles back. Isn't there any responsibility or liability of railway for dereliction of duty by TT and lack of security. Shouldn't we be compensated for such a big loss due to lack of security measures. I am waiting for the action by police and railway. TT should also be punished for not registering FIR. Kindly provide the justice and take necessary action.
