In a way it is the end of the HWH-ALD-CSTM route............
ALLAHABAD JN was the very essence of the Bombay Mail. It was the 'heart and soul' of this route..............
Besides being the longest halt and the prime station on the train's route, 12321 was a very popular train for Allahabad passengers as well.
Allahabad will be be sorely missed, though running it via...
more... the diverted route is a practical solution.....
In fact as someone pointed out it can be run via HWH-DHN-BRKA-CPU-JBP-ET-BSL-CSTM! Not only will it be a shorter route but will also provide another train for a very neglected railway stretch! Only Allahabad doesn't need decongestation......alternative routes that bypass Mughalsarai should also be encouraged. Mughalsarai needs decongestation as well.
That being said I will sorely miss this announcement at the NCR capital "TING TING TING Yatrigaan kripya dhyan de, Gaari number 12321
Howrah-CSTM Mumbai Mail platform number 6 par a rahi hai..............................!"
