Sorry about the delayed update on the journey yesterday with the 2027 Shatabdi....
The train was fitted with a LGD WAP-7 30261.. Happy its getting a WAP-7 finally on a regular basis.. To start with i was greeted by the same old ICF coaches which looks horrible from outside with cracks , dust ... my seat was in C1 coach.. the first surprise was the food tray.. It was so slanting that it cannot be used for placing the food served.... The train left MAS on time.. from PF2A (admin pls update this is the regular departure). Snacks were served immediately.. Sandwich(Butter and Carrot), Hard Rock Samosa and a sweet (couldnt realise what it was my ignorance not irctc mistake). Followed...

This has to be the worst of any Shatabdi Express rake. I boarded the train at Chennai on Apr 25 on my way to Katpadi, and having arrived at Chennai Central early, asking people about the platform the Shatabdi was to leave from, I was pointed towards what looked like a Garibrath waiting to depart. I decided to wait until “Shatabdi”, with LHB of course, showed up. A few minutes later, that didn’t look like a possibility and walked towards the train. This was the Shatabdi!

2007/2008 Mysore shatabdi does overtake Kovai if kovai reaches Jolarpettai on time befor ethe shatabdi. If Kovai is late shatabdi has to contend with itself overtaking only the Dhanbad express and AJJ passenger
Only shatabdi might not be the reason for Kovai's delay-the duronto overtakes Kovai enroute coimbatore owing to which Kovai's run delays onward-that can create a delay on return too
