Gujarat passengers... from ADI, BRC, ST... Those wishing to go to Bangalore any day of the Week, and desiring to reach only around morning hours after sunrise at SBC .... You can now do it with one Good Break at UBL ....
/search/60/0/289 Everyday you arrive at UBL either at 1645hrs, or 1730hrs or 1810hrs at UBL....
Then you take break at UBL have nice snacks/ dinner / relax refresh and board eiither Gol Gumbaz or Rani Chennamma Exp going towards MYS / SBC /train/7833/289/1430

No space crunch at YPR in the morning hours atleast for Chalukya (TEN-DR). It halts there for 2 hour 45 minutes (0415 to 0700). What a wasteful of precious time for passengers and waste of PF in morning hours. This reaches Hosur at 0200 and Banaswadi at 0315 and 0415 at YPR. From Hosur to YPR it takes 2hr 15 min and halts for 2 hr 45 min. Same case with PDY-DR Chalukya also. It wastes more than 1 hour at YPR.
On fridays, when TEN-DR is at YPR from 0415 to 0700, BKN exp starts at 0500 from YPR. See the TT upto UBL. TEN-DR can leave by 0440 (KCVL-YPR TT) and BKN train at 0700.

one can justify this and say that PF are congested and space constraint and all such stories. PF constraints may be there in some specific timings, but putting entire blame on non-avl of PF is not at all correct, if you see BKN exp timings.

Hosur to YPR requires only about 1.15 hours. I dont understand why all the trains coming from Hosur side are delayed. If you see the pattern closely, Trains going from YPR to Hosur side takes about 1.15 hours but return trains from Hosur to YPR side takes about 2-2.30 hours. Doesnt make much sense!!!!!!!!!!!

For Chalukya (both TEN and PDY to DR), why SWR is holding them at YPR in precious morning time for hours? When they claim congestion, they should send this CR train within 20 minutes out of YPR.
Real reason is that this was originally YPR-DR train and got extended. So, if you keep YPR dep at 0430 or 0500, Bangalore public will object. Hence, they kept the departure as it was earlier (then 0630, now 0700).
DR-YPR stretch also is useless in this train. It reaches Hubli at 1230, but finally

arrives at YPR at 2130 and leaves at 2200. Why it should take 9-1/2 hours to cover this stretch? You can see JS towards Hubli crossing this train. JS leaves Hubli at 1400 and arrives at YPR 2100 overtaking the same Chalukya. How can you digest 9 hr journey from UBL to YPR?
DR-YPR if made to arrive at YPR by 1945-2015, many will prefer this train. But if it leaves by 2045-2100 from YPR towards PDY, it will reach TNM-VM stretch at odd hours. To avoid this, great people have made this kind of TT. With same reason, PDY dep can be delayed to take care of 1.5 hour waiting at YPR, but will reach at odd hours in VM-TNM stretch. With this kind of TT, will any one prefer to travel to TK-DR stretch from PDY-KPD stretch?
TEN-DR starts at 1445 at TEN, not useful for TEN public and arrives at 0315 itself to bangalore outer. Can people boarding in TEN-SA stretch sleep in train when it is at YPR stn for more than 3 hours. What is the security arrangement during this odd hours at YPR?
Net result, with no use to its intended public (Pondy or Tirunelveli), Chalukya got extended. No use to any one, be it PDY, TNM, KPD, SBC, HSRA, DPJ, SA, ED, MDU or TEN.
Classic example of how a train extn should not be carried out.
Absolutely no point in saying that lines are saturated and no PF available etc.
