Convenience for passengers alighting at KJM.
Most of the travellers alighting at KJM find it very difficult to move out of the station and cross the busy RING Road under the Cable Bridge.
Here is an alternative: There are plenty of buses plying from KJM Rly Stn to Ramamurthy Nagar, Banaswadi, Maruthi Seva Nagar, Jai Bharath Nagar, ITC, Fraser Town, Coles Park, Shivaji Nagar & also to Horamavu Junction/Signal, Babusapalya, Kalyan Nagar and beyond to Hebbal, BEL Circle, Jalahalli Cross, Peenya & also to Central SILK board Junction. One needs to take

the FOB (only one FOB is present. So there should be no confusion) and take a LEFT on the FOB towards Vijinapura (see attached map). Climb down the FOB and come outside the station gate and then take a Right turn and walk for 100 meters and the bus stop is right under the BIG Cable Bridge. Buses will come from KR Puram Bus Stand and take a 'U' turn here right under this BIG Cable Bridge.
Bus Number - 300E comes from KR Puram Bus Stop (500 mtrs beyond the cable bridge) and goes to Ramamurthy Nagar, Banaswadi, Maruthi Seva Nagar, Jai Bharath Nagar, ITC, Fraser Town, Coles Park, Bangalore Cantt Rly Stn & Shivaji Nagar. Frequency is every 6 to 10 mins. But sometimes between 12:15 p.m. to 1 p.m. one may not find frequent services.
Bus Number - 300H comes from KR Puram Bus Stop and goes to Ramamurthy Nagar, Banaswadi, Maruthi Seva Nagar, Jai Bharath Nagar, ITC, Fraser Town, Coles Park, Bangalore Cantt Rly Stn, Indian Express, Vidhana Soudha, KR Circle, Mysore Bank Circle and finally to Majestic. Very less frequency
Bus Number - 300C - comes from K R Puram BS and goes to Ramamurthy Nagar, Ring Road Signal / Junction, Kasturi Nagar, Sadanand Nagar, NGEF, Binnamangala (Indiranagar), Indiranagar Depot, Ulsoor, LIDO, Richmond Road, Corporation, Mysore Bank Circle and finally to Majestic. Very less frequency
Bus Number - 507 (KR Puram to Jalahalli Cross) & 507B (KR Puram to Peenya 2nd Stage) & 507C - New Service (KR Puram to Chikkabanavara) - they all go towards Ramamurthy Nagar, Horamavu Junction/Signal, Babusapalya, Kalyan Nagar and beyond to Hebbal, BEL Circle, Jalahalli Cross, Peenya / Chikkabanavara. Good frequency.
CAUTION: In reverse Direction all these buses DO NOT come as close as 150 mtrs to KJM Stn. They go to KR Puram Bus Stop from around 600 to 700 mtrs away - Reason - Oneway Traffic. However, one can alight at ITI Gate / aka ITI Colony Gate BUS STOP and take an Auto Rickshaw from there up to the Rly Stn - must not cost more than Rs.30/- with normal luggages.
Bus Number 500C - comes from K R Puram BS and goes to Ramamurthy Nagar, Ring Road Signal / Junction, Kasturi Nagar, Tin Factory, K R Puram Railway Stn (now it the other side of the Stn on the Outer Ring Road), Mahadevapura, Marathahalli, Bellandur, Agara, Central Silk Board Junction. In reverse one can alight at KR Puram Rly Stn before Tin Factory.
And if you are planning to receive someone at KJM stn and need a good parking place for your own 4 wheeler, then try the vijinapura side of the KJM stn as RING ROAD side is out of bounds for parking of private vehicles.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
