max speed 110 doesnt mean it can run 110 all the time without any maintenance...for 110 also 6 hrs block is required to be taken @ all the stretch per week & proper track maintenance should be done.I think P.Way Engineers are sleeping there

in NFR KIR division each Sunday block is taken so we can see no train practically departs NJP after 1000 & in Up direction also most of the trains are held up for several hours because here Sunday is the official track maintenance work...So Sunday seems to be a holiday for the Operating deptt, but not for the Engineering deptt.but I dont think in Konkan such blocks are taken...if you dont take blocks, bring BOBYNs,change the ballast regularly, avoid Alumino Thermit welding, properly strengthen the tracks using plasser machine, then these incidents will take place more frequently.

I am not sure, but read that accident happened in a curve. It can be because train went beyond the maximum speed limit at that curve. Speed in staright track and curved track can be different This can be one of the reason. In france(not sure about the country), same type of accident occured, when train came out of tunnel at much higher speed directly to a curve, all the compartments were thrown out of track. This can be one of the possibility

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
