Yes only Mid-day DEMU is cancelled that is 07379 and 07380. Rest Morning and Evening running as per usual Time-Table i.e. 07341, 07342, 07343 and 07344.

Wow that is so much to digest so many recent developments for VSG in 2019 and now nothing. Overall after COVID many earlier running passenger trains also cancelled from KR as well such one was 50101 Ratnagiri-Madgaon and actually not only here but all over India after COVID nothing is like before for IR.

The most important thing is 2nd pitline at VSG without it can't expect any new train or increase in coach composition of existing trains.
It's in construction since 2019 but looks like SWR just abondoned the works on it.
Any idea you have what happened to it ?

Even I don't have much idea about it honestly but have heard others saying SWR is only interested in freight revenue from VSG side. Otherwise, it is not a big deal to make it a headline about 2nd Pitline in construction they should have done it long back maybe they are purposely holding it back and also the work could have been done in lockdown too. KR electrified the whole strech in corona made full use of lockdowns as no to little movements of train. I don't know why SWR ignores VSG so much in terms of passenger traffic.

This was the status of 2nd pitline at VSG on 15/06/2023 and still it's left there itself. Not much progress.

Perfectly said they are holding back the commissioning of 2nd pit line purposely for freight movements and also there are not much trains originating from VSG only 9 proper mail/express/superfast only and what you said about locals is true last year i saw on news that coal or coal dust particles falling down around the tracks and polluting the nearby houses with black coal dust and they were talking about freight trains being sped up creating vibrations cracking their compound walls or even houses, the issue is real but SWR should be transparent with everything so they can be trusted with it. Wow, I didn't know about ignoring proposals from SCR and operating linking trains despite orders from RB. Wish everything goes alright in the future hope they commision both double tracking and 2nd Pitline at least later together and balance out freight and passenger movements.
