Clearly one of the successful VBs. Doing around 100% occupancy even in this peak off season period.
Also, the highlight is 92% occupancy even in EC, clearly a hit VB!!

16 coach is not the need of the hour. One VM in KIR pnbe or one dedicated overnight in KIR Pnbe sector is required.
Yes, a 16 coacher may not fill in the current situation. But a reverse VB from Patna side in the morning should be considered. This reverse VB will allow Patna region passengers to reach NJP in the afternoon for their work, travel to Darjeeling, Sikkim, Bhutan etc.
Yes, looking at VM fare structure, this train can do very well in North Bihar, this region has very dense population and regular intercity travel within Bihar.
The occupancy pattern of this VB is 50-50% for Kathihar and NJP. Definetly a reverse train will be good for NJP bound travellers to Darjeeling Sikkim. As VB is running in one direction VM should be introduced from Patna to NJP so that low income groups who work in Sikkim can use.

Good data from kir, bgs is also contributing mostly last minute travellers from there.
Impressive occupancy reverse vb will also be more hit if introduced.
Yes, it is also encouraging to see good bookings for the NJP-Patna sector.
When the VB was first launched, a few senior members criticised it, claiming that tourists would not prefer it because of its timings.
It seems that travellers from Patna and the neighboring areas have been using this VB for Darjeeling and Sikkim travel during the summer holiday season.
