Unexpected one. Finally, GR got its LHB rakes. Sad part is, they are 3ACE rakes. It was supposed to get Humsafar Rakes, 5 years ago. But missed. Overall, GR rakes are better than 3E rakes in terms of comfort. Hope they will increase the speed limit for this train.
One benefit is, Ticket cost is 1500 in GR's 3ACE and in TN Express, it is 2030 in the same 3ACE.

Andaman/GomtiSagar will get LHB Rakes by the end of this year.

BTW RB gave an order to make 300 more 3E coaches.
So., Entire Garibhrath fleet will be LHBfied by end of this financial year.

Andaman/GomtiSagar too get LHB Coaches by the end of this year. Already coaches are stabled at near AVD.

Were there Side middle berths earlier in this GR train ? In a way good there will be slight increase in comfort. The old GR rakes can be used to run specials hopefully
LHB rakes with 3ACE are given to SR for TVM Mumbai, Chennai Nizamuddin and SWR SMVT TVM. Waiting for SCR turn for SC Vskp daily GR the most successful GR and only train that is running daily and SC to YPR.
Can LHB rakes also replace only AC coaches in mail/express which are currently running with Utkrisht livery. Sleeper and General remains same only AC coaches.

About 10 years back they used to run Chennai Mumbai spl with GR rake. Most of the time it was in yard with single trips to New Delhi.
