My view on extention of weekly train or new train in new connected lines is waste of expenditure for Railways as local people will use local transport to travel to nearby city or town and long distance travelkers may not be there from the extended portion. What IR needs to do is put DEMU /MEMU morning and evening and extend the train which are running daily or triweekly to the nearest HUB which is Guwahati for NE. In this case the train has to travel back to Agartala for PM and rake is wasted for rest pf the week. Kanchenjunga and Guwahati Agartala(I am not sure whether it's running) are right choices to provide connectivity.
