Difficult for the specials to make up time since they wont be preferred compared to regular while giving clearance the delay will stay or chances delay might be extended,very rarely they make up time even if they it could be some 30 mins or so...

Thanks..great help..so I guess I need to book another connecting train from new delhi to kota. Presently it was 3.5 hours later than this train's arrival at new delhi..

this train should be called hwh ndls late special .. afaik,, its not running 6 hrs late,, but it has not yet started from howrah! yesterdays train has been rescheduled to leave today noon 18 hrs late ,,, u can expect it to be arnd 30-35 hrs late by the time it reaches delhi .. this train knows how to make late,, it will get late, late and more late than u can ever imagine.
