No there was no proposal last budget-in August this train started after the Vasco-Velankanni special was stopped-and continuing from then
Yes you did have a splendid ride-I too had once in the regular 17313/14 except that Sanghamithra kept holding us till jTJ and TPTY-YPR SF overtook us at Patchur

When I traveled( Not Special one), It had Onboard Cleaning Staff, Was early to most of the stations, Halted 30mins @ Bangarpet to allow TPTY-YPR.
Hope let this train get regularised :)
Note : On that day Sanga was ontime and were chasing that till Bangarpet.

there is a good slack between KPD & JTJ.. this is giving good gap between ICE & sanga.. This train deserves SF Status and little speed up.. Huge slack between KJM to YPR due to crossing with YPR-HWH , YPR-CAN & YPR-KCVL GR.. :-(

SWR replan the timing of this train. Unwanted halt at JTJ for more than half an hour. It will start at 2.35. After CBE intercity so it will avoid wasting of timings in between stations.
Also there are plans to extend this train to BJP in next budget
