It is unfortunate that Renigunta has been avoided the new route and Tirupati bound passengers aredisappointed.
The extension of this train should have been up to CAPE or NCJ or TVC.
Coach Composition should have been increased to 24 ICF or 22 LHB

There is no loss happened here on extension of this train. Tirupathi is already well connected with TVC and NCJ. There is no need for further extension.
Actually, upon diversion this train connects TNM with its state capital directly for the first time.

After a long wait of 16 years, Renowned Temple town, Tiruvannamalai(South Kailash) is getting its much deserved State capital "Chennai connectivity".🎉🎉
Both Villupuram-Purulia and Kharagpur are now re-routed via TNM,KPD,AJJ,PER,GDR instead of its regular TNM,KPD,TRT(using AJJ Bypass),RU,GDR. At the same time Purulia-Villupuram extended upto Tirunelveli
Overall, Tri-Weekly Chennai Connectivity to Tiruvannamalai.

Increase in coaches from 17 to 18 is nothing when it passes through 2 big cities of Trichy and Madurai. I thought it would be 22 coaches. Now they require 2 rajes for operation of this train and stands idle at Tirunelveli for 3 days. They should run overnight Biweekly to Chennai on Sunday dep from TVL with 10 hrs atleast to Tambaram.. 240 private buses are running to Madurai and beyond down south from Chennai yet they don't introduce daily fast train to NGL from Egmore leaving at 2200 to reach by 900.

Vm-kgp weekly since independent should go via src-bandel-katwa to azimganj if tat permits one train to south
Okay I thought the same that its gonna run via Villupuram, CGL, MS, perambur , TRT, RU but I was wrong its actually going to go via Villupuram, Tiruvannamalai, KPD, Perambur to gudur skipping TRT and RU only ,,, so its all good also we are getting new connection from Tiruvannamalai to chennai

Why does 22606 skip Chennai and takes a long winded route to reach Vijayawada and beyond?
This train is mostly used by patients of west bengal to reach cmc vellore (Katpadi) .To give connectivity to vellore cmc and also for tirupati (renigunta), this train is taking this route by skipping Chennai
During MG period, Villupuram-Nellore line via Katpadi, Pakala, Gudur was an important line built by British and Operated by South Indian Railway. Later, it was transferred to respective newly formed divisions. So, we can say these trains(Purulia and Kharagpur) deserve this route.
Both Purulia and Kharagpur SF trains from Villupuram are for patients and migrant workers from West Bengal and surrounding regions to travel to the Vellore region.
Additionally, both these trains gives good pilgrim patronage to Tiruvannamalai from Vijayawada, Renigunta and Visakhapatnam.
