Train yesterday at VKB was delayed by 4 hrs 3 mins but as per NTES even though no update at VSG should have reached as per the expected update i.e. 2 hrs 14 mins delayed at VSG means enroute recovered a delay of 1 hr 49 mins.
Distance between VKB and VSG as per IRI is 797 kms. As per schedule train is supposed to cover it in 19 hrs 40 mins avg. speed of just 41kph. On today's run it covered the same in 17 hrs 51 mins @avg. speed of 45kph.

is happening on a route which more than 90% is FEDL and some part as per IRI is 130kph MPS one too. Train should average atleast 50kph on this route considering the fact that at GTL a rake reversal and LC is involved and also Braganza Ghat section effect. Quite a speed up possible here but seems like both SCR and SWR are only focused on freight movement here. It's a real shame that trains are made to run horribly slow in this manner. Railways expect people to upgrade from SL to 3E/3A but in return they don't want to give anything in return their services are like before terrible and poor trains run horribly slow schedules on top of that add frequent delays, WL and UR pax crowding reserved coaches including AC coaches as a result toilets, basins and overall coach becomes dirty too. Now Railways really need to up their game if they want to justify rake standardization

I think the ridiculous schedule between BPQ and SC should be changed. It would be better if they distributed the timings among other sections as well. Even SBC Rajdhani can't do 4H 40 min for BPQ - SC. SCR is like, we anyway can't maintain the schedule for this. Plus, it already arrives late due to SECR. They just don't bother about this train.

Also SWR should now speed up trains on GTL UBL route as it's FEDL and we are seeing no real benefits to passengers from it.

That route is just an eye sore for passenger trains. IR acts like there is no incentive to upgrade MPS on that route, which is like 90 or something.
