For tonight which starts from DR its possible to confirm since End to End its just in RAC and HO & LB berths are available in good numbers for SL, also lots of availability in higher class.

In 2S class looks sure CNF since end to end 186 seats are still available.

DR is the Station code of Dadar Central Railway , it starts Dadar TT (Terminus)

irifan2015~ 2433 blog postsThis trains can start by 1700 and still manage to reach YPR by morning 0530-0600. Now it reaches Hosur by midnight 0200 and blocks the line and Yeswantpur platforms for hours. Cascading effect on other trains also.

Thirunelveli to Hosur is done on 10 hours (500+ kms), but Hosur to Yeswantpur is 4 hours (55 kms)!!!.

irifan2015~ 2433 blog postsThis train should be speeded up in SWR. Not at all useful for Bangalore. It occupies YPR platforms for hours and thereby denying a good Mumbai train.
This can be diverted via SR SCR areas without touching SWR area at all (Just like NCJ CSTM Via Pakala).
New train from Bangalore to Mumbai has to be introduced covering the distance in 18-19 hours.

No the train was introduced as YPR DDR train later extended to tirunelveli / puducherry . Its meant for the KA region people. The best thing is to speed up this train as 2 night 1 day train leaving Dadar at 21:30 PM to arrive YPR at 17:00 PM and then arrive TEN at 05:00 am the next day and the return with the same TT with primary maintanence at Dadar . In that case its faster and covers interior KA properly
I agree with your post. As SR and CR are not agreeing to let their TT Changes, it would be better if SWR make some smart moves. Even Hubli Dadar TT can be suitably modified to get a SF covering Bangalore Mumbai in 17-18 hours.
