Massively slowed down in HIJ-BKSC part of the journey. HIJ to BKSC is 289.5 kms, Purushottam average speed 45 kph from 1/7/24. HIJ to BKSC will now take 6 hrs 25 mins!!
AFAIK new TT:- 18401 = Puri 20.20; Khurda Rd. 21.08/13; BBS 21.35/45; CTC 22.15/20; Bhadrak 00.15/20; BLS 01.25/30; Hijli 03.30/45; TATA 06.05/15; BSKC 09.20/30; Gaya 13.10/20; DDU 16.35/50; PRYJ 19.20/30; CNB 22.40/50; New Delhi 05.50|| 18402:- New Delhi 20.50; Puri 06.20||

1.Train no of 12801/02 Purushottam Superfast Express will be changed to 18401/18402 W.E.F 01.07.24
2.Train no. of 12892/91 PURI - BGY will be changed to 18404/18403 W.E.F 01.07.24.

I am guessing. 18401/02 stops may be SIL-DEG-KUR-BBS-CTC-DNM-HDS-JJKR-BHC-BLS-JER-HIJ-JGM-GTS-TATA-CNI-BBM-PRR-BKSC-CRP-GMO-PNME-Hazaribagh Rd-KQR-Paharpur-GAYA-Rafiganj-Anugraha Narayan Rd-DEOS-SSM-Bhabua Rd.-DDU-CAR-MZP-BDL-PRYJ-Fatehpur-CNB-ETW-SKB-TDL-ALJN-GZB. Diversion karne ka risk nahi lega. Diversion kiya toh sab hungama karega
Only feasible reason seems for all these renumbering drama is providing more halts, increasing travel time, reducing AC coaches and running overnight full AC Vande bharat Sleeper trains with these 12xxx numbers with lesser halts.
There is a speculation that new minimum avg speed required for superfast category is 65kmph.
If it's then it's great. But IR will lose lot of revenue in form of SF surge and each train contributes min of Rs 30,000 per day or Rs 1cr per year and taking entire IR network wil be around Rs 500-1000cr on conservative basis. Next year they will raise base fares and reservation fee to recover.
Is this the aim of MISSION RAFTAR ? Degradation of PURUSHOTTAM EXP is very bad.

Guys I am really disappointed that a prestigious train like Purushottam Express is downgraded to Mail/Express status. In that way, it will get bad priority in ECR an NCR and will get delayed. Hopefully they do not make this awesome train worse (although deep down I know that they will possibly add another extension or divert it or something).
I don't think there is any relationship between SF Status and Priority of a Train, then People would have never objected to Border line trains getting SF status.

2 hrs 43 mins slowdown can be found. 23 mins in HIJ-BKSC, 50 mins in GMO-GAYA & 90 mins in PRYJ-NDLS.
Bhai, worse of all is that this awesome train will now get slowed down and then it will get delayed in ECR and NCR and then get extended or something.
