I was watching the live running status of this train but when it come to Pernem 5.30am (already delayed) no live updates were showing at all. Looks like passengers alighted at Pernem as there is a problem in the Old Goa Tunnel (saw video water gushing in from the top ceiling of the inside fully lined tunnel see snapshot). Security there reported to KR about the problem at 4.40am it seems. Work going on.. Goa received heavy rains last 3 days

Some train are diverted from Madgao via Londa Panvel etc. Passengers will be ferried by bus from Pernem to Margao and vice versa.. at least two trains cancelled Mandovi Express today and next days Konkan kanya. Tunnel Repair Work would be completed by today evening says KR official..

Old Goa Tunnel comes soon after Karmali Station when going to Ratnagiri/Mumbai and its about 544 mtrs in length. Good job by the Security guy there and needs to be rewarded. Most other security guys we see either sleeping or missing or busy chatting/watching smartphones..

BNR & East Coast Railway Company Ltd during laying of Howrah Chennai Main line in the 1890s & 1900s rejected the survey done earlier & made the whole truck route Tunnel free. (55 tunnels were proposed in CKU-RJY alignment). See details made by me following 9th November, 1900 Journal on Howrah Chennai Rail connection in pics below
