The New Delhi-Dibrugarh Rajdhani Express (20506) has been rerouted through Aluabari Road Jn.-Bagdogra-Siliguri-New Jalpaiguri. The Guwahati-Jammutawi Lohit Express (15651) has been rerouted via New Jalpaiguri-Siliguri-Bagdogra-Aluabari Road Jn. The Lalgarh-Dibrugarh Avadh Assam Express (15910) has been rerouted via Aluabari Road Jn.-Bagdogra-Siliguri-New Jalpaiguri. Several other trains experienced significant delays due to blockages at various junctions, including the Ayodhya Summer Special (226 hours), Saharsa Summer Special 2 (14 hours), Varanasi Special 1 (54 hours), Saryu Yamuna Express 1 (36 hours), 15909 Avadh Assam (150 hours), and 12332 Himgiri (145 hours). The Kanchanjunga Express, travelling from Agartala, Tripura to Kolkata's Sealdah, was rear-ended by a freight train near Rangapani station, resulting in the death of nine people and injuries to 41 others.

Mangalwar ko ye train apne nirdharit samay subah 911 baje se late pahunch sakti hai. Wahi (19602) New Jalpaiguri-Udaipur City Express bhi teen ghante der se chalaai gayi. Mangalwar ko ye apne nirdharit samay subah 658 baje se late pahunch sakti hai. Isse pareshani hogi.

These trains will be diverted via Ambala Cantt, Chandigarh, New Morinda, and Snehwal on May 20th and 21st. The diverted routes for the return journey, including trains like 13152 Jammu Tawi Kolkata Express, 12204 Amritsar Saharsa Garib Rath Express, 13308 Firozpur to Dhanbad Ganga Sutlej Express, 13006 Amritsar Howrah Punjab Mail, and 05656 Guwahati Jammu Tawi Summer Special, will take place on May 21st and 22nd via Snehwal, Chandigarh, and Ambala Cantt.
