Tourism tip: The tippu's birth place & Devenhalli fort is about 300 mts and 500 mts respectively in a walking distance to the station. It was here Hyderali was in possession of the fort when his wife gave birth to Tippu. Within 1 to 2 hrs time you can finish of seeing both the monuments. Take YPR-DHL Passenger special and you can take the same train back after seeing these two things as the time gap between the arrival & departure is 1 hr 45 minutes.

Bangalore International Airport(BIAL) is about 6 km from here. Nearest station.
Gopal Sir, This isn't the nearest station to BIAL. Also the station is 14 kms from the Airport not 6 kms. . Nearest station to BIAL is DJL (Dodjala) 10 kms from airport.
Sudershan,it is 6.5 km from BIAL as per the Devanhalli Town Website,which I guess is official.click here
Also DHL is 5 km from BIAL as per IRI
I have considered this as the correct distance. Hence it is closest to Airport compared to DJL which is 8 km from BIAL as per IRI.

IN this map, I have marked both DHL & DJL....
alight here for darshan of 108 avantika parshwanathji bhagwan jain tirth with pure veg food plaza inside it just opposite side nh-7 highway(bangalore to hyderabad)siddhachal dham hill temple about 1 km away from station
There is no food, not even tea available at this station or at least within 500 mts distance. You have to walk beyond Tippu's birth place or towards the fort to find a tea stall..... Very small shops available near to Tippu's birth place but they aren't that useful to buy anything.
