As soon as the train passes through Palghar, the PC vendor shows up with tea and hot tomato soup. The soup is really good and it costs around 10₹ to 15₹. You can also ask for extra pieces of roasted bread. When the train arrives at Mahesana, have a cup of tea from the station vendors and not from the PC vendors. Because the tea from the PC vendors is like someone got punished badly, it's mostly all water. Then when the train arrives at Palanpur, have some breakfast from the station vendor. Just be careful that they don't overcharge. Meanwhile, when the train arrives at ABU ROAD, if you are traveling for a long distance till Beawar/Ajmer, then pack your lunch from ABR. They have good quality and reasonable-priced food here. Also, at the station, many vendors sell curry pakoda for 15₹ per plate. It's served on folded leaves with curry, pakoda, and a piece of pav (check attached pics). Rabri is also available for 10₹ per cup. After this, you can get direct food in larger quantities with more varieties at Ajmer. In between, there are fewer options. Also, the PC vendor provides good bread cutlets for 30₹ per plate.
