पिछले कुछ दिनों में बांग्लादेश और गुजरात के बीच ट्रेन से निर्यात किया जाने लगा है। इससे ट्रांसपोर्टेशन का कॉस्ट काफी घट गया है। पिछले दिनों प्याज स्पेशल पार्सल ट्रेन गुजरात से बांग्लादेश पहुंची थी।
प्याज के बाद गुजरात से बांग्लादेश के लिए कपड़ा एक्सप्रेस रवाना होने वाली है। वेस्टर्न रेलवे स्पेशल पार्सल ट्रेन को गुजरात के कनकारिया से बांग्लादेश के बेनापोल को भेजने की तैयारी कर रही है। इस पार्सल ट्रेन के जरिए कपड़ा, रंग और केमिकल्स को निर्यात किया जाएगा।

किया जाएगा तो ट्रांसपोर्टेशन का कास्ट काफी बढ़ जाएगा। इसी के कारण मालगाड़ी से निर्यात की तैयारी की जा रही है। इससे ट्रांसपोर्टेशन का कॉस्ट कम होगा जिसका कीमत पर असर दिखाई देगा। सस्ता सामान होने के कारण व्यापार में तेजी आएगी।
भारत हमेशा से बांग्लादेश को प्याज का निर्यात करता रहा है। पिछले दिनों पहली बार गुजरात के धोराजी स्टेशन से बांग्लादेश के दर्शाना स्टेशन के लिए मालगाड़ी रवाना हुई जिसमें प्याज भरा था।
पहली बार मालगाड़ी से गुजरात से बांग्लादेश प्याज का निर्यात
दोनों देश के व्यापारी लगातार कोशिश कर रहे थे कि Dhoraji to Bangladesh (Darshana) के बीच मालगाड़ी से प्याज का निर्यात हो। इसके लिए धोराजी स्टेशन में कुछ बदलाव किया गया, ताकि वहां लोडिंग करने में किसी तरह की परेशानी ना हो।

Indian Railways' Western Railway Zone has achieved a unique record after deciding to run a parcel train from Ahmedabad division in Gujarat to neighbouring country Bangladesh.
Western Railway had earlier sent a goods train with loaded wagons of onions for Bangladesh from Bhavnagar on 4 August 2020.
The Western Railway zone in a statement said' " Loading in this train will be started on 8 August 2020 at Kankariya Goods shed of Ahmedabad division of Western Railway & the train is likely to depart by evening on same day, after completion of loading."

The rake will consists of 20 parcel vans(VPUs)+1 SLR and the loading was done at Ahmedabad Parcel office for Benapole station of Bangladesh recently.
The commodity to be loaded in this rake is denim cloth in 15 VPUs and colours and dyes in 5 VPUs. This traffic is offered for the first time in Ahmedabad division and this is likely to generate an approximate revenue of about Rs. 31 lakh. This is the first ever parcel special train of Ahmedabad division for Bangladesh, which will be traversing 2110 km to reach Benapole in Bangladesh.
Earlier,Indian Railways has operated its first-ever special parcel train to Bangladesh, transporting dry chillies from Andhra Pradesh’s Guntur district to the neighbouring country
Meanwhile, Western Railway has transported commodities weighing above 92 thousand tonnes its 448 parcel special trains, which mainly included agricultural produce, medicines, fish, milk etc since 23 March till 06 August. The revenue generated through this transportation, has been above ₹29 crore.
During this period, 69 milk special trains were run by Western Rly, with a load of more than 52 thousand tonnes and 100% utilization of the wagons, generating revenue of approx ₹9 crore.
Similarly, 361 Covid-19 special parcel trains with a load of almost 32 thousand tonnes were also run to transport various essential commodities, for which the revenue earned was ₹16.31 crore. In addition to this, 18 indented rakes carrying 7858 tonnes were also run with almost 100% utilization generating revenue of more than ₹4.09 crore.
During the lockdown period from 22nd March till 6th August, 2020, total 11,342 rakes of goods trains have been used by WR to supply essential commodities amounting to 23.27 million tonnes. 22,155 freight trains have been interchanged with other zonal railways, in which 11,059 trains were handed over and 11,096 trains taken over at different interchange points.

LOSS OF PASSENGER REVENUE DUE TO LOCKDOWN
The total loss of passengerrevenue over Western Railway o­n account of Corona Virus, has been approx. Rs 2040 crore, which includes aboutRs 304 crore for suburban section and approx. Rs 1736 crore for non -suburban. Inspite of this, resulting to cancellation of tickets since 1st March, 2020 to 6thAug, 2020, Western Railway has ensured to return refund amount of Rs. 410.64 crore. It's worth mentioning that in this refund amount, Mumbai division alone, has ensured refund ofRs 197.22 crore. Till now, 63.22 lakh passengers have cancelled their tickets over entire Western Railway & have received their refund amount accordingly.

As the entire world is fighting to control spread of corona pandemic in its own way, India too is making all possible efforts and ensuring to fight with corona infection at various levels. However, in such an unpleasant atmosphere, Western Rly has taken a unique initiative in providing transportation of essential commodities to various destinations of the country. WR in its own way is contributing through its services to the nation by running timetabled parcel special trains originating from various stations of WR.

Kankaria – Bhimsen parcel special train will leave from Kankaria at 22.00 hrs o­n 22nd April, 2020 and reach Bhimsen at 17.00 hrs the next day. Similarly, Train No 00940 will leave Bhimsen o­n 25th April, 2020 at 12.40 hrs and reach Kankaria at 07.30 hrs the next day. The train will halt at Anand, Godhra, Ratlam, Ujjain, Maksi, Bhopal, Bina and Jhansi stations in both directions.WR has made available a dedicated Helpline No 9004490982 which is manned 24x7 byWR staff for any queries regarding the transportation of essential goods. An email id has also been created for the same cmicccg@gmail.com.
Shri Bhakar stated that since 23rd March to 19th April, 2020, thirteen milk special trains were run by Western Rly, with a load of more than 9000 tonnes and 100% utilization of the wagons generating revenue of Rs 1.58 crore. Similarly, 4 indented rakes carrying 1864 tonnes were run with 100% utilization generating revenue of more than Rs 77 lakh. In addition to this, 55 Covid-19 special parcel trains were also run during this period to transport essential commodities, for which the revenue earned was Rs 1.50 crore. Such loading was possible due to constant efforts by WR to deliver its best. Wide publicity of WR's parcel special trains is being ensured by way of advertisements & news in newspapers, as well as through social media and SMS, so that traders can book their parcels thereby ensuring that there is no dearth of essentials required by the people. Even during the loading/unloading work, proper norms of social distancing are being observed and the labourers are being provided with hand sanitizers & other necessary objects. As goodwill gesture, arrangements for food are also made for the labourers at various places.
Shri Bhakar also said that nine parcel special trains left from WR to various parts of the country o­n 20th April, 2020 viz.Ahmedabad – Guwahati,Surat – Bhagalpur, Porbandar – Shalimar, Bandra Terminus – Ludhiana,Okha – Trivandrum, Kankaria – Sankrail Goods Terminal, Bhuj – Dadar,Bandra Terminus – Okha and Okha – Bandra Terminus. Besides these parcel special trains, o­ne milk special rake also ran from Palanpur to Hind Terminal.During the lockdown period from 22nd March to 19thApril, 2020, total 1804 rakes of goods trains have been used by WR to supply essential commodities amounting to 3.89 million tonnes. 3993 freight trains were interchanged with other railways, including 2019 trains handed over and 1974 trains taken over at different interchange points. 74 Millennium Parcel rakes of Parcel Vans/Railway Milk Tankers (RMTs) have been sent to different parts of the country to supply as per the demands of essential items such as milk powder, liquid milk and other general consumer goods. The total losses over Western Railway up to 19th April, 2020 have been estimated as Rs 486.79 Cr (inclusive of suburban + non-suburban). Inspite of this, due to cancellation of tickets till now, Western Railway has ensured to refund Rs. 201.49 crore. It is worth mentioning that in this refund amount, Mumbai Division itself, has ensured refund of Rs. 98.31 crore. Till now, 30.61 lakh passengers have cancelled their tickets over entire Western Railway & have received their refund amount accordingly. Upto 19th April, 2020 more than 1.17 lakh masks and almost 10,000 liters of sanitizers were made inhouse at various divisions and workshops of WR during the lockdown period.
