Himmatnagar - Khedbrahma Gauge Transformation Project Budgetary Support - After the lack of funds, the representations made by both the MPs of the district brought color. Broad Gauge Conversion with Electrification project is allocated Rs. 482.42 Crore Rupees. According to railway sources, the Himmatnagar-Khedbrahma electric train will run in the next three to four years. Following the news of the commencement of the Himmatnagar-Khedbrahma rail project, a feeling of joy has spread in the region. From 31st December 2016, Himmatnagar-Khedbrahma rail service was closed and derailment was started for gauge change. But no progress was seen since then. A fund of Rs 354 crore was allocated in the year 2018-19. But the local leadership failed to wake up the railways and the operation was not able to start and the railways diverted the funds to prevent the return of funds allocated for the project. governors began a series of applications and submissions. The district MPs Deepsinh Rathore and Ramilaben Bara, along with the Railway Ministry, have recently made representations to allocate Rs 482.42 crore for the Himmatnagar-Khedbrahma broad gauge railway project. According to the information received from the railway sources, the process of tendering, negotiation, issuing work orders will be taken up in the next 6 months. Work on Himmatnagar-Khedbrahma broad gauge railway line including 9 major bridges, 43 minor bridges including construction of new railway stations at Mahadevpura, Jadar, Surroad, Idar, Kadiadara, Wadali and Khedbrahma and erection of poles for electrification may take 3 to 4 years. On proposed Khedbrahma-Ambaji railway project, WR sources said after the approval of Khedbrahma Ambaji railway project, due to lack of political will, the railways did not even bother to work on this project.
