on December 22nd. The Naxalites targeted the third line between pole numbers 356/29A and 31A, disrupting the railway track. They also placed banners and posters at the site of the blast. The following trains were stopped at various stations overnight: 18478 - Yognagari Rishikesh Puri Utkal Express (Manoharpur at 10:08 pm), 12905 - Porbandar Shalimar Express (Manoharpur at 10:08 pm), 18006 - Jagdalpur Howrah Express (Manoharpur at 10:08 pm), 18030 - Shalimar LTT Express (Goilkera at 11:25 pm), 12102 - Shalimar LTT Express (Tata at 10:08 pm), 12129 - Pune Howrah Express (Rourkela), 12810 - Howrah CSMT Express (Chakradharpur), 12222 - Howrah Pune Express (Chakradharpur), 12151 - LTT Shalimar Express (Rourkela), 12130 - Howrah Pune Express (Tata).

The blast led to the halting of the Howrah Superfast and Sambleshwari Express trains at Manoharpur, with police on high alert and all stations and security forces in alert mode. Naxalites (CPI Maoist) are observing their 'resistance week' from December 16th to 22nd, during which they usually plan major events. Blast ke baad, Manoharpur mein Howrah Superfast aur Sambleshwari Express trains rok diye gaye. Police high alert pe hai aur sab stations aur security forces ko alert mode mein rakha gaya hai. The impact was fatal, and his head was found severed from his body. The Manoharpur police registered a case of unnatural death based on the statement of his wife, Savita Kumari. The body was sent to Chakradharpur for postmortem.
