The blast led to the halting of the Howrah Superfast and Sambleshwari Express trains at Manoharpur, with police on high alert and all stations and security forces in alert mode. Naxalites (CPI Maoist) are observing their 'resistance week' from December 16th to 22nd, during which they usually plan major events. They have also called for a 'Bharat Bandh' on December 22nd, through posters.

Blast ke baad, Manoharpur mein Howrah Superfast aur Sambleshwari Express trains rok diye gaye. Police high alert pe hai aur sab stations aur security forces ko alert mode mein rakha gaya hai. Meanwhile, Sonuwa BDO Girivar Minj visited Sonuwa station, Sonuwa market, Chandani Chowk, etc. on Sunday night and distributed blankets to the needy. Crossroads par, thand se bachne ke liye, aalav ki arrangement ki gai. Deputy Commissioner ne raat mein, jarooratmand logon ko blanket distribute karne aur aalav ki arrangement karne ka order diya hai.
