It is irony that Chikmagalur part of Mysore division is not having any connection to Mysore. Hardly one train to Bangalore and odd passenger to Shivamogga. That's all.
Why can't such a tourist important station is not getting any trains?
Trains to Bangalore (ONT), Mysore, Hubli Belgaum Bijapur, Ballari Hospet to be explored. Also to neighbouring state towns of Tirupati, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune need to be explored.
