The estimated cost is Rs. 25,000 crore, and half of it will be funded by international agencies like JICA. This partnership will allow the project to secure loans at lower interest rates and avoid limitations under the Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management Act (FRBM). The new routes are: Nagole-RGIA, Raidurg-US Consulate, MGBS-Falaknuma, Miyapur-Patancheru, Mailardevpally crossroads-proposed High Court complex at Budwel, LB Nagar-Hayatnagar and Falaknuma-Chandrayangutta crossroads. The Chief Minister wants to make Metro Rail a reliable and accessible mode of transport for the people, particularly for those travelling to and from the airport.
