underground corridor will have 27 stations, 26 underground and one at grade. MMRCL has 19 rakes in their fleet, which is enough to operate Phase 1. Once operational, the line will handle an estimated 17 lakh passengers daily and offer multi-modal integration with other transport systems. The Government of India has finalized the funding for the project, with the fifth and final tranche of the loan agreement with the Japanese International Cooperation Agency (JICA) signed recently. The total project cost is Rs 37,276 Crore, with 57.09% funded by JICA's loan amounting to Rs 21,280 Crore.
