near New Sirhind Station. Two freight trains loaded with coal were stationary when one train's engine detached and collided with the other. The engine then overturned and became entangled with the Samer Special (04681) passenger train traveling from Ambala to Jammu Tawi. The passenger train was provided a new engine and sent to Rajpura, while track repair work commenced. Railway officials reached the scene, rescued the trapped locomotive pilots by breaking the engine's windows, and transported them to the hospital. The injured pilots were identified as Vikas Kumar and Himanshu Kumar, both residents of Saharanpur, Uttar Pradesh. Senior railway officials, including the DRM of Ambala Division, along with GRP and RPF officers, arrived at the accident site. An investigation into the incident has been ordered.

New Sirhind Station ke paas Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited track par hua. Do maalgadi, jismein coal load tha, wahaan khari thi. Ek maalgadi ka engine khulkar dusri se takra gaya. Iske baad engine palat gaya aur Ambala se Jammu Tawi ja rahi Samer Special (04681) passenger train mein phans gaya. Passenger train ko dusra engine lagakar Rajpura bhej diya gaya. Track ko thik karne ka kaam shuru kiya gaya. Haadse ke baad railway ke kamdar mauke par pahunche. Unhone engine ke sheeshe ko todkar andar phanse locomotive pilot ko nikala. Unhe hospital pahunchaya gaya. Ghayal locomotive pilot ki pehchan Vikas Kumar aur Himanshu Kumar ke roop mein hui. Dono Uttar Pradesh ke Saharanpur ke rahne wale hain. Haadse ke baad Ambala Division ke DRM sahit railway, GRP aur RPF ke senior adhikari mauke par pahunche. Haadse ki jaanch ke aadesh diye gaye hain.
