Corridor Gomoh-Barauni-Muzaffarpur-Gorakhpur se jaane ki sambhavna hai, aur High Traffic Density Corridor Hajipur-Muzaffarpur-Barauni-Katihar se connect hoga. Budget mein Sonpur-Samastipur rail sections mein 23 overbridges aur underbridges ke liye bhi paisa diya gaya hai, khass karke Muzaffarpur-Sugauli aur Bettiah-Chhawni railway crossings pe. Par, New Muzaffarpur Junction Terminal ko sirf token amount mila hai, iske development ke liye ek setback hai.
